Definitely order ahead for pick up. Line was out the door and wait prob was very very long.
Picking up I went in the side door and only waited a few minutes.
Ate the food around the corner at a park. -

Now I know why people say that New York bagels are incomparable to any other bagel! This was the first bagel that I got to try on my visit and it was extremely hard to follow up. Be warned though, good quality also comes with a heft price and their famous lox sandwiches are a hefty $15 each.
The bagels here are really big and fluffy, with a nice chewy exterior and a soft dense interior. I chose a garlic bagel for my sandwich and it came with scallion cream cheese, nova lox, lettuce, tomatoes, and capers. I also shared an everything bagel with chocolate chip cream cheese. Everything was really fresh and they have a hugeee selection of cream cheeses here; more than I possibly could have imagined. Vegans and lactose intolerant people rejoice! They have tofu spreads that taste nearly identical to their dairy counterparts.
Pro tip: call ahead or place your order online! We ordered from the comfort of our hotel room and then leisurely made our way over and it was ready for us when we came to pick it up. The lines are a little confusing. I think to-go orders are on the left and you have to let them know you're there to pick up so they can fish out your order. -

I love this place! The line is ALWAYS LONG so prepare yourself to wait. (Don't get in line hungry...) While everything is fresh and made in store, it definitely has the "tourist trap" feel. Despite that, I always eat there when I'm in town.
They make so many flavors of shmears! My favorites are the Apple cinnamon and the jalepeno cheddar.
I love to get a plain bagel, toasted, with egg whites, bacon, and cheddar. I go crazy and add some flavored shmear sometimes.
Staff is friendly despite the overwhelming feeling. -

If you notice the line out the door, that means something! Even though the line was out the door, it went by fast. I love the atmosphere and the workers who made the bagels. They're full of life and always striking up a conversation with all of their customers.
I decided to get the Signature Favorite. This came with slices of nova smoked salmon, scallion cream cheese, tomato, lettuce, onions and capers for $14.50. Don't let the prices scare you because the portions are huge!! I love how they use scallion cream cheese because it add more flavor to the meal. The smoked salmon wasn't too salty and was just right. I finished the bagel within minutes.
Trust me when I say this place is a must!!! -

I love this bagel place so much that I stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, to make sure I can get that bagel before the long lines.
The bagels are perfectly chewy and soft and are spread with a lot of cream cheese, vegetable and chives being my favorite two flavors.
They also sell breakfast sandwiches and breads. I've had their cookies which are pretty tasty, but the bagels are where it's at.
Service is pretty fast.
